Donald Miller - Founderdon.jpg

Donald Miller grew up in Houston, Texas. Leaving home at the age of twenty-one, he traveled across the country until he ran out of money in Portland, Oregon, where he lives today.

Harvest House Publishers released his first book, Prayer and the Art of Volkswagen Maintenance, in 2000. Two years later, after having audited classes at Portland’s Reed College, Don wrote Blue Like Jazz, which would slowly become a New York Times Bestseller. In 2004 Don released Searching for God Knows What a book about how the Gospel of Jesus explains the human personality. Searching has become required reading at numerous colleges across the country.. Don’s most recent project was a book about growing up without a father called To Own a Dragon. After finishing the book he then founded the Belmont Foundation as a response to the National crisis of fatherlessness.

Wade Trimmer - Executive Director

wade_small.thumbnail.jpg Wade Trimmer grew up in Santa Fe, New Mexico and later moved to Los Angeles, California to broaden his career opportunities. It was there that he began working with homeless and high risk teens. Wade was instrumental in developing effective programs for inner-city youth in Los Angeles for a nationally recognized youth organization. He has spent the last 13 years developing social programs and managing non-profit organizations. In 2000, Wade and a friend co-founded a non-profit organization with a strong emphasis on mentoring and family counseling. Wade lives in Portland, Oregon with his wife, Jennifer and three sons, Zane, Zach and Quinn.

Hannah Harrod - Development Assistant

Hannah spent the majority of her childhood in Kenya, Africa. She first moved to the Portland area to attend George Fox University. While a student she worked as the girls program coordinator for a local youth outreach center. This time helped her to understand the necessity of providing support to at-risk youth. After spending some months living in Kolkata, India she returned to Portland and began working for the Belmont Foundation. She can be seen around the office filling the role of Development Assistant and drinking mass quantities of tea and coffee.
